JLUSA was founded on a principle that “those closest to the problem are closest to the solution but farthest from resources and power to do anything about it.” JLUSA invests in the leadership of directly-impacted people by educating, empowering, and elevating their voices so they have the tools and resources to self-organize and advocate for themselves, their families, and their communities.
We cannot do this work alone. JLUSA relies on our community of supporters like you to fuel our leadership training programs, and support urgent campaigns. By fundraising for JLUSA, you can champion JLUSA's mission across your community, and fuel our fight for a just, decarcerated United States
It's easy to start a fundraiser for JustLeadershipUSA. Whether you raise $5 or $500, every little bit helps support JLUSA programs and activities.
Almost one-third of the US population has directly experienced the criminal legal system. However, not all communities are impacted the same. Racial disparities in the criminal legal system continue to disproportionately fall on Black and Latinx communities. Since our inception we have been educating and empowering people who have traditionally been excluded from power and solutions, elevating their voices so that they can be active change agents in dismantling systemic oppression.
